Welcome to Indy Girl Coffee, where I help connect big communities with small businesses I love ! I started an Instagram journal back in 2021 and have been able to make great connections over the years. I have found a passion in connecting the community to businesses around the Indianapolis area. This blog will be used to highlight businesses and what they have to offer. I am excited for this new journey with Indy Girl Coffee. About Me
Hi, I am Allyson
I moved to Indianapolis from Michigan in 2020. While exploring the city and learning about my new home, I noticed how many coffee shops were in the area. I would visit one coffee shop each weekend to see new areas of the city. I made "Indy Girl Coffee" in 2021 to have a journal for myself on where I have gone and find new coffee shops to visit. Over the past few years, I have been able to make great connections and friendships. Connecting people to small businesses through my Instagram page and seeing the engagement of the community has brought me a lot of joy over the past few years.
In addition to coffee shops, I have worked with local apparel shops and restaurants to promote their businesses. I enjoy trying new places and love how much Indianapolis and the surrounding areas have to offer.
A little more about me, I graduated from Michigan State in 2020 and moved to Plainfield, IN to work as an engineer. I am still working as an engineer fulltime and do this content creation after work and on the weekends. I have a 4 year old goldendoodle named Paisley who I bring on most of my local adventures. I love iced coffee and lattes! My favorite flavors for coffee are Lavender Honey and Pistachio.
